Each semester, MMB students collaborate with various industries and professionals, functioning as graduate consultants. Clients present a specific interest or challenge, and we work in teams to develop practicum projects that address the issue.

Guided by Dr. Sonja Salmon and Youngwoo Huang, my team explored the bioelectrocatalysis landscape across both academic and commercial sectors. We pinpointed potential collaborators, assessed their expertise and technological advancements, and examined their sources of funding. We also compiled a contact database to support the client’s future engagement efforts.

Graduate Consultant

My team collaborated with W.L. Gore & Associates to develop innovative ideas for alternative materials to a filtration system in a developing Direct Air Capture project currently being pursued by Gore.
