MMB Program Overview
The Master of Microbial Biotechnology (MMB) program at NC State University is recognized as one of the leading Professional Science Master’s programs in the nation. Combining science with business, the program offers students hands-on experience through industry-focused projects and internships, equipping them for successful careers in the field.

Program Objective: Biotechnology companies require professionals with scientific expertise who can also approach industry challenges from a business standpoint. However, traditional science programs often lack the business and professional training these companies highly value. The MMB program, established in 2003, was designed to bridge this gap.
